We're dog people first.

Velvetail started with our own dog, Max — and a shirt we could never find. We wanted something that actually celebrated his breed, made from a tee we'd want to wear every day. It didn't exist. So we made it.

Because the love you have for your dog isn't generic. A Golden Retriever mom and a French Bulldog dad don't feel the same thing — they feel their thing. And most dog apparel treats every breed like an afterthought, slapping a paw print on a flimsy shirt and calling it a day.

We wanted to make something better. Something you'd actually reach for.
